Tuscarawas Football Officials Association

The Tuscarawas Football Officials Association is looking for men and women to become Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) licensed football officials and become members of the local association.

– Sign-up for the football officiating classes.
– Attend meetings for new officials.
– Join the 51+member local organization of football officials.

The TFOA is a group of football officials who meet periodically to discuss rules, mechanics and philosophy. They are a great way for new referees and judges to learn from veteran football officials. The referee association will be a valuable pool of resources for training, obtaining games and getting to know the football officiating community.

Attend association meetings where you can ask questions about rules, mechanics and positioning. These sessions will be a foundation to get you started properly as a football Referee, Umpire, Head Linesman, Back Judge or Line Judge.

We are offering a certification class at Buckeye Career Center starting from March 1 through April 26. The course will prepare new officials for the state test and will equip them to start working the upcoming 2017 season. Contact: Steve Rippeth: rippeths@yahoo.com & Joe Stephon: joestephon@gmail.com
